"Further" presents the symbiotic relationship between seven artists and friends who share a visual dialogue: MARS-1, NoMe Edonna, Oliver Vernon, Tomokazu Matsuyama, Damon Soule, David Choong Lee and Robert Hardgrave. Works inspired by Surrealism are featured beside works looking to the future, featuring robots and cyber-infrastructures.

The book signing takes place at 6:30 at SFMOMA. Join us afterwards down in the Destiny Lounge for the afterparty from 9pm-2am.

Bollyweird: The Cosmic Dance. Ten blocks of art and celebration, and ten stages of music. Performances and colorful costumes, vendors from around the world, food and drinks, and a new world record!

We're going for a world record this year. At the end of the faire (7:40pm) we will broadcast a special peace song on all ten music stages simultaneously. All participants are invited to take part in the World's Largest Bollywood Dance! This year includes music stages by Space Cowboys, Brass Tax, Symbiosis, Muti Music, Rebel Bass Collective, Tantra, Groove Garden, Non Stop Bhangra, Temple Nightclub, Strategik, Opel, Opulent Temple, Le Harem, Aum Festival, Red Marines Festival, Team Infinity, Ultraviolet Carnival, Style/Clash, and more!

The How Weird Street Faire is an experiment in creating peace, bringing together a wide range of styles and communities. Come join the fun. All ages welcome. Costumes highly encouraged.

San Francisco 49er Alex Smith will join child welfare experts, former foster youth and media professionals in a short press conference to discuss the state of Child Welfare in California. Smith will outline the groundbreaking work his Alex Smith Foundation is doing to ensure that foster youth have access to -- and complete -- post-secondary education.

Fostering Media Connections will also screen an original video summing up the strides California has taken in foster care, and FMC Project Director Daniel Heimpel will provide a brief overview of the state of the system as it compares to the vanguard infederal child welfare policy.

Members of the media are welcome to cover the event or simply join as guests for drinks and nibbles.
